Patch notes: The Ring opens
Ranked 1v1 bouts that never hurt anyone, a rating with divisions, a weekly ladder and Saturday tournaments everyone can watch.
Sport, not war. The Ring is open in Lanternport, Anvilgate, the Old Throne and Skerrow, from level 5.
How it works
- A ranked bout costs 10 Vigor. The Ring draws your opponent from Wayfarers of your level; you fight their current stats and gear, whether they are online or not.
- Both fighters use blunted steel: no health lost, no infirmary, no wear, nothing stolen.
- Win to climb a rating through the divisions from Bronze to Champion, and earn Laurels for the Laurel stall.
Ladder and tournaments
- A weekly ladder pays marks and Laurels by division every Monday.
- Tournaments every Saturday at 18:00 UTC, per level band, with a bracket and replays anyone can watch. Some weeks are Even Ground: everyone fights in the same kit.
- Division and tournament titles, a profile badge, and a world first for the season's first Champion.
